Foreign Demand for ‘Pitambar’ Surges After Teaser & Song Release

Set for release on Chaitra 29 (April 11, 2025), coinciding with the Nepali New Year 2082, the highly anticipated film Pitambar is currently creating a significant buzz. The film, which boasts a star-studded cast, has seen a surge in hype following the release of its teaser and songs.

According to director Krisha Chaulagai, the overwhelming response to the teaser and songs has led to a sharp rise in the film’s demand overseas. “Every film has a unique story, and ‘Pitambar’ is no different. The response to the teaser and songs has significantly increased the demand for the film internationally,” she said.

The action-packed teaser opens with actor Divya Dev reciting the famous Mahabharata verse, “Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya.” It features actors Pradeep Khadka, Anup Bikram Shahi, Dayahang Rai, Saugat Malla, Srishti Pant, Supushpa Bhatt, Divya Rayamajhi, and Rabindra Jha. The teaser, released by Budha Subba Digital, has garnered over 1.7 million views.

Similarly, the song “Ma Ta Fan Bhaye Yaar”, featuring a romantic sequence between Pradeep Khadka and Divya Rayamajhi, has been viewed over 1.9 million times. The song, shot in the Terai region on a grand set designed by Indian technicians, has been widely appreciated.

Producer Bishal Chaulagai expressed his growing passion for filmmaking and his commitment to delivering a high-quality production. A medical professional by profession, Bishal previously produced Aincho Paincho, which was also directed by Krisha Chaulagai.

Krisha, who debuted as a director with Aincho Paincho, has previously produced films such as Insaaf, Kasam Hajurko, Ke Ma Timro Saathi Banna Sakchhu, and Palaash.

Produced under the banners of KP Films and Purushottam Pradhan Films, Pitambar features an ensemble cast including Pradeep Khadka, Dayahang Rai, Saugat Malla, Aryan Sigdel, Anup Bikram Shahi, Srishti Pant, Gauri Malla, Rabindra Jha, Pramod Agrahari, Kameshwar Chaurasiya, Tika Pahadi, Sulabh Pahadi, Surbir Pandit, Bishal Pahadi, Divya Dev Pant, Supushpa Bhatt, Divya Rayamajhi, Gaurav Bista, Ashish Purush, Lalit Bista, Kishor Bhatt, Binod Kumar Paudel, Narayan Kafle, and Rabindra Bhattarai.

The film also includes child actors Aarnav Ghimire, Prayush Dutta Subedi, Aadhya Lamichhane, Aaroh Chaulagai, and Suprol Budhathoki (Anmol).

Pitambar is produced by Bishal Chaulagai, with Purushottam Pradhan, Aadhya Lamichhane, and Aaroh Chaulagai as co-producers. The executive producer is Suman Gautam, with a screenplay and dialogues written by Pradeep Bhardwaj and Abhimanyu Nirvi.
